  • "Katie is a pro-life conservative, whose pro-life beliefs were only strengthened when her first child had special needs at birth. #SC1" (www.facebook.com)
  • "The Trump Tax Cuts have created jobs and increased wages. They let families of the Lowcountry keep more of their hard-earned dollars. We need to make the Trump Tax Cuts permanent and continue to look for additional ways to lower taxes on families, individuals, and small businesses" (votesmart.org)
  • "To keep Washington's power in check, I support a Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution. That way, our politicians are held accountable, just as you and I are when we make our monthly budgets." (www.katieforsc.com)

  • "We need to cut federal spending, reduce the size of the federal government, and get the bureaucracy out of the day-to-day lives of Lowcountry citizens." (votesmart.org)
  • "Unfortunately, our infrastructure has been neglected and forgotten. But the real shame is watching Washington add pork and pet projects to much-needed infrastructure investments. We can find solutions, but not at the expense of bankrolling the left's liberal wish list. I will work with the members of Congress to get our fair share back from the tax dollars we send to Washington." (www.katieforsc.com)
  • "With failing roads and bridges and unaddressed flooding needs, the Lowcountry presents unique infrastructure challenges. In Congress, I will have a seat at the table and be a tireless advocate to make sure the Lowcountry gets its fair share of infrastructure funding." (twitter.com)
  • "Thanks to federal tax cuts and the loosening of federal regulations on job-creating businesses, the Lowcountry economy is growing again. We can -- and must -- do better. I believe businesses create jobs, not the government. I will work to continue to reduce the government's role in our economy and free up entrepreneurs and business owners to innovate, expand, and grow their companies." (votesmart.org)

  • "One of the first things we need to do in Congress is get rid of the Federal Department of Education and put our tax dollars back in our control for our children. Parents and local communities know how to educate our children, and a bureaucrat in Washington has no business getting in the mix." (www.katieforsc.com)

No Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
No Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
No Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, thermal)?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
No Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
Yes Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
Yes Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
I have a plan to fund the wall WITHOUT using taxpayer funds. Under the current system, cars traveling from the US to Mexico are charged an entrance fee, yet we do not charge a reciprocal fee for cars entering the US. Based on historical data, charging a small fee to cars entering the US would cover the costs of building the wall.
No Do you support the legalization of marijuana for recreational purposes?
Yes Should the United States use military force in order to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a nuclear weapon?
No Do you support increased American intervention in Middle Eastern conflicts beyond air support?
When all other negotiations have failed, force can be used. A nuclear weapon is not just used against one country, but against the entire globe and all of civilization.
Repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act and implement free market solutions. Secure our borders and strengthen our military. Improve our infrastructure.
